Frequently asked questions

A robot dog such as the Unitree Go2 or B2 moves on four legs and is optimised for stability, payload capacity and terrain capability — ideal for inspection, surveillance and industrial outdoor deployments. A humanoid robot such as the Unitree G1 walks on two legs and is designed for environments originally built for humans: stairs, doors, tools. Both platforms complement each other and address different use cases.

Unitree robots are modular and scalable — from individual research laboratories to large industrial enterprises. The Go2 EDU is particularly suited for universities, startups and development teams with dedicated SDK access. The B2 and G1 target medium to large enterprises in industry, energy and logistics that require robust, enduring platforms for recurring tasks.

The base models (Go2 Air/Pro, B2 Standard) can be operated via the app and a handheld controller without programming knowledge. For custom application development, the EDU variants of all models offer a full SDK and secondary development support. Unitree provides developer documentation — KOSATEC assists with onboarding and connects you with integration partners where needed.

The Unitree B2 is specifically engineered for demanding industrial environments: IP67 protection rating against dust and water, operating temperature from -20C to +55C, and joint construction with automotive-grade components. The Go2 and G1 are designed for structured environments and moderate outdoor use — no IP67, but reliable for laboratory, building and light field applications.

Runtimes vary by model and load. The Go2 achieves up to four hours without load, the B2 up to five hours, and the G1 approximately two hours. All models use swappable batteries — for the B2, autonomous charging is also optionally available, enabling continuous operation without manual intervention. For sustained deployments, we recommend purchasing a second battery.

Yes. All Unitree models offer standardised interfaces — Ethernet, USB 3.0, WiFi 6 and, for EDU variants, full SDK support for ROS and custom software development. The G1 EDU and B2 can be extended with external compute modules (Nvidia Jetson Orin), simplifying integration into existing AI and computer vision pipelines.

As a B2B distributor, KOSATEC offers personal consultation, B2B payment terms and fast availability through the European logistics network. Depending on the model, delivery includes the robot, battery, charger and handheld controller. For EDU variants and accessories such as docking stations, mechanical arms or additional LiDAR modules, please contact your KOSATEC representative directly.
